Welcome. We’re Waterfront Bar & Grill, on Kumul Highway in Port Vila. The thatch is real. The harbour is right there. We open the kitchen twice in one day — lunch, then dinner again — and we mean it when we say local fish.

Two kitchens, one long day
Our site is plain: seven days, 11:30am to 10pm. Lunch kitchen at 11:30. Dinner kitchen at 5:30. You can eat fish at noon and still come back for a second sitting after the sun drops. Steaks, wood-oven pizzas, cocktails, wine — and the seafood that people photograph when the band is not too loud.
Groups over about twenty should email bookingwaterfront@vanuatu.vu (use the booking address for weddings and big tables; info@ also exists on the site). Walk-ins are a gamble once the music starts. We would rather you book than guess.

The platter is the postcard we actually serve
The photos we sent are honest: a seafood platter for the table, not a beach that is not ours. Lobster, prawns, local catch — the kind of pile you share when everyone arrived hungry from the ferry or the flight.

When the kitchen leans rich, lobster mornay is the plate that shows up in the frame — sauce, cheese, the whole indulgent argument. Did you know? “Lobster” on a Pacific menu is often tail and local langouste logic, not a Maine steam pot. The species cards at the bottom of this story spell out clawed vs tail-only before you order.

How to sit with us
Show up hungry at noon or hungry at dusk. Do not call us dinner-only — the roof is open too long for that. Efate’s other rooms are on the island directory. A shared pile like ours belongs with seafood platters.
That’s us — Waterfront Bar & Grill, harbour side on Kumul Highway. Save our profile for the map and these photos, follow @waterfrontbarandgrill.portvila, and use the species guide cards below when you want the lobster and prawn pages without rereading the menu.
Thank you for reading. We mean that.
