Meeresrausch is a fish restaurant on Berger Straße in Bornheim, a short walk from Bornheim Mitte. The room is set up as street-fish dining: an open, informal service rather than a tasting-menu restaurant. Dr. Aslı Özübek spent thirty years as a violinist before she and her husband, Özgür Yaşar Özübek, took the restaurant over in 2025. They describe the kitchen as Mediterranean fish cooked with herbs, using suppliers they choose themselves. What they name on the site is straightforward. Grilled sea bass, dorade, and larger seafood plates are the centre of the card. The point of the room, in their own words, is that you can taste the fish rather than a sauce hiding it. The interior is maritime, and they seat friends and families as well as people who just want a grilled fish on Berger Straße. Monday is closed.
