Fisch Levy is the Levy family’s fish-and-chips counter at Frankfurt Hauptwache, An der Hauptwache 15. The shop sits on the B level of the Hauptwache passage, reached from the Zeil and Roßmarkt stairs and from the S-Bahn and U-Bahn concourse. The family has sold fish at Hessian markets since the Barbarossa market in 2008. The fixed Hauptwache counter opened in 2024. They still fry to order rather than holding fish under a lamp. The card they publish is short and specific. Original fish and chips is a fillet in batter with fries and a remoulade they make themselves. There is a salmon roll, calamari and prawns with lemon and either a garlic dip or cocktail sauce, North Sea matjes and Bismarck herring rolls with onion, pickle, and salad, and a backfisch roll with the same remoulade. Every plate is also packed to go. They take cash, Girocard, credit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Monday to Saturday the counter is open 11:00 to 20:00. Sunday and public holidays are closed.
